According to echoes from Ghana’s succinct online portal, GHANAsoccernet.com, defender Christopher Bonney is close to joining 13 times Zambian Premier League champions Nkana FC.
The 28-year-old is free from all contracts with Hearts of Oak after coach Edward Odoom seemingly left him out of his plans.
The experienced fullback is expected to take the road for Zambia in a week’s or fortnight to come, after the player’s entourage successfully completed verbal negotiations with Nkana FC.
Aged 28, Christopher Bonney has had a fair career playing for juggernaut Ghanian rivals; Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. Bonney has formerly had two spells with Ebusa Dwarfs as well.
Nkana FC are on a mission to retain their domestic crown as well as get past the second round of the CAF CL, the club’s best ever showing, three times of asking.
