Cameroon international, Njie Clinton Mua is the latest Athlete to join the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in Cameroon, kick442.com can report.
The Dinamo Moscow forward has reached out to the population of the Southwest Region of Cameroon through the Buea Regional Hospital this Wednesday May 27,2020.
The Soppo-native sent a handful of items through his family represented by his mother and sister. The family handed kits to aid the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic to the Director of the above-mentioned hospital, Dr Martin Divine Ngomba Mokake.
The Director told kick442.com that, Clinton’s family handed a cross-section of items including; soap, Alcoholic Gel, different types of masks, buckets with taps, gloves, gowns, body bags, disinfectants amongst others on behalf of the erstwhile Lyon forward.
Though the Doctor couldn’t estimate the exact financial valuation of the items, kick442.com understands that the items are worth over a million.
The Doctor expressed his satisfaction about the gesture from the former Olympique of Marseille forward, certainly so because the kits will go a long way to assist in the collective fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The move from the 2017 AFCON winner will certainly be a boaster for Buea and the Southwest Region as the region continues the struggle to do away with the deadly pandemic.
Njie becomes the first professional sports personality from the region to give back to his people.
Samuel Eto’o Fils, Fai Collins and Christian Bassogog are examples of some famous Cameroonian footballers Kick442.com has seen on the front in the battle against the deadly Coronavirus.
So far, Cameroon has registered 5436 of persons who returned a positive result for the virus amongst which 165 persons have died 1865 recovered since the first case was confirmed in the Central African nation on the March 6,2020.
