Two times African Champions, Equatorial Guinea suffered a 5-0 defeat to Uzbekistan in their first match at the Turkish Women’s Cup on Wednesday.
Former African champions lined up a squad of largely local-based players, suffered a heavy defeat in the opening Group B game.
In Group A, Serbia defeated India 2-0 in their first game.
The reigning African Champions, Nigeria will kick off their campaign against Russian top-flight side CSKA Moscow tomorrow, Thursday, at 8:30 am West African Time (WAT).
