News coming from Leregist.com has it that a Nigerian, Adewale Sapara who plies his trade with SC Olhanense in Portuguese third division league has emerged the best player in the league.
The former Stone FC of Surulere, Lagos merited the award through the votes of players in the league.
The striker scored 15 goals in 22 games before the Campeonato de Portugal was put on hold and later ended abruptly.
The former ARC Oleiros striker was impressive in the 2019/2020 season improving on his 8 goals tally last season with several assists in 18 matches.
The 25-year-old is delighted about the feat and thanks his teammates for their support.
“I feel so great and happy because this means a lot to me and I would also like to say a big thank you to my teammates because without their contributions, this wouldn’t have happened” He said excitedly.
After leaving Nigeria, the winger had moved to Farense in the Portuguese League Second Division but didn’t stay long before moving to Quarteirense and later to Sertanense.
Safara made impact at his next club Almancilense scoring 11 goals in 27 matches and subsequently at ARC Oleiros where he scored 8 goals in 13 matches before moving to Olhanense.
The starlet started his career in 2014 professionally and hopes to play for Manchester United, Real Madrid or Barcelona and be called to the national team one day.
