Eight former Super Falcons players have been named into the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) CAF Women’s Team of the Century (1901-2000).
Ann Agumanu Chiejine, Mavis Ogun, Florence Omagbemi, Ngozi Ezeocha, Florence Omagbemi, Mercy Akide, Nkiru Okosieme, Rita Nwadike, and Uche Eucharia made the list.
Most of the Nigerian players on the list featured at the first three FIFA Women’s World in China (1991), Sweden (1995), and USA (1999) as well as conquering the African continents in the time under review.
Two Ghanaian and a South African player complete the list.
In 2000, IFFHS organized votes to elect ′′ 2000th-century footballers ′′ in the world and continents and the elections were based on polls of former and specialized journalists and players.
