The Nigeria Amputee Football Team earlier on Saturday departed the shores of Nigeria for the Amputee Football Nations Cup in Tanzania(CANAF 2021).
The Special Eagles as they are known are seeking to better their performance of the last the African Cup of Nations were they finished runners up in 2019.
They leave after support by well meaning Nigerians and a refund of the World Amputee Football Federation annual due by the Nigeria Sports Ministry.
Captain, Sarafadeen Olalekan Oyeleke has promised to make Nigerians happy at the competition which serves as African Zonal Qualifiers for 2022 World Cup.
“I we like to appreciate Nigerians for their support towards assisting us to make it to this forthcoming Nations Cup. By the special grace of God, I am very optimistic we are going to deliver and we are going to make Nigerians proud just like we did at the last Nations Cup.” The Captain said at the airport.
