Slovakian midfielder Juraj Kucka benefited from an assist from Ivorian Yao Gervino to equalize for the visitors just after the half-hour mark.
But sides retired for the half time break with the score at one-all.
The second segment of the game was played at near walking pace with chances few and far between.
The game ended on a parity score with an outstanding display from Nicolas Nkoulou.
The former AS Monaco defender has accumulated 27 games in all competitions this season. He helped Torino stay just-above the relegation zone, midway through the current Italian Serie A campaign.
The goal is Nkoulou’s fourth in 104 appearances since he join the Club in 2017.
He has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin, but certainly his first target is to keep Torino afloat at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
With 12 Serie A games left, Torino is 15th on the log with 28 points from 26 games this season.
