Indomitable of Lions Cameroon and Kano Pillars FC defender Denis Ngweni Ndasi has expressed his satisfaction about the arrival of Super Eagles of Nigeria skipper Ahmed Musa at the North Regional club.
Speaking to kick442.com in an exclusive interview this week Ndasi revealed that Musa’s arrival at the Club created a new atmosphere and meant a lot to him personally.
“I am happy that the chairman of kano Pillars made a great signing because his coming is a booster in the team as we pursue our goals this season of being champions,” 26-year old Ndasi told this online portal.
Ndasi has been a mainstay in the Pillars team this season featuring in 16 of the Club’s 19 games this campaign.
Pillars are tied at the top of the 2020-2021 Nigerian Premier League championship with 36 points just like Kwara United 19 games into the 39 games season.
The former Union Sportive of Douala and Unisport of Bafang defender who spent last season in Morocco went further to discuss the individual impact.
“It’s always a privilege to play with the super stars in Africa and now it’s another privilege to play with Ahmed Musa. He is the captain of the super eagles of Nigeria and one of the stars in Africa.”
Musa resumed training with the rest of the Kano Pillars FC squad on Monday, April 19 and received a warmed reception from Club colleagues.
Pillars pulled off a near miracle by securing the return of the 28-year old former CSKA Moscow and Leicester City forward.
Musa skippered Nigeria during the 2018 FIFA world cup in Russia and scored the Super Eagles goals in their 2-1 win against Iceland.
Ndasi is in his debut campaign in the Nigerian Premier League having moved to Kano Pillars in the build-up to the current season.
The six-capped Cameroon international won the 2017 Cameroon Elite One championship with Cotonsport and is expected to bring all of his experience to the good of Pillars alongside Musa for the remainder of the season.
