Cotonsport center back Denis Ngweni Ndasi, 24 have hit the back of the net for the first time this season in the club’s 4 nil win over Regional Championship side Olympique de Meiganga from the Adamawa Region.
Ndasi was making his come back on Thursday after an injury spell on the sidelines and quickly signal his return not just by partnering well with Joel Djodnang to keep a clean sheet for the Cotonites but he equally registered his name on the score sheet. Ndasi slotted in a 73rd minutes goal from a header to complete Cotonsport’s 4 nil demolition of Olympique de Meiganga.
“It gives me joy to return in this manner,a clean sheet, a confidence boasting win and a goal makes it nearly perfect for me and gives the team a lot ahead of an important game on Sunday. I have been quite unlucky in the final third,it could have been 3 or may be 4 goals for me this season considering the goal line clearances from my attempts against PWD in Garoua,New Stars and Union Sportive in Limbe but I thank God for the Victory”
Ndasi has made it a habit to score nearly every season in the Cameroon League 1 championship.
The former America for Africa, Unisport of Bafang and USD man who has 2 caps and a goal for the senior National team of Cameroon is in his second campaign in Garoua,in his first he made 32 appearances in all competitions and won the Cameroon League 1 title.
