Cotonsport’s sensational forward Ngueme Araina Lambert was simply inspiring as his side inflicted w 4-1 defeat on host TKC of Yaounde in a match-day four encounter of the 2020-2021 Cameroon Elite One championship this Sunday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium.
Host TKC got off to a perfect start to the game as they scored in the 18th minute through Anaba Patrick Metogo.
Though the Cotonites created a number of good chances, the game stayed on the one-nil score till the break.
The Cotonites returned for the second segment even more daring to score as a win was imperative havin lost to Panthere in their last outing.
22-year old forward Lambert Ngueme Araina leveled scores for the boys of coach Souleymanou Aboubakar in the 53rd minute.
Araina made it 2-1 for Cotonsport barely ten minutes as the visitors up the tempo of the game.
TKC were restricted to their half of the pitch for most of the rest of the half and in the 81st minute, Araina Lambert played Arnaud Sanou Sibiri to made it 3-1 for Cotonsport.
Araina completed his hat-trick in the 87th minutes of the game adding to the misery of an already battered TKC side.
There wasn’t another goal for both sides, thus leaving the full-time score at 4-1 in favour of visiting Cotonsport of Garoua.
Araina counts five goals in ten appearances in all competitions this season.
The hat-trick is Araina’s second in the colors of Cotonsport since his arrival from Espérance of Guider in 2018.
Cotonsport move up to the second spot on the log with six points from three league outings so far.
The Cotonites switch their attention to their CAF Confederation cup group stages encounter against Zambian side NASPA Stars next weekend.
