18_year_old Cameroonian Midfielder Monique Ngock, has completed a move to French top-flight side Stade Reims.
Ngock has agreed terms on a three-year deal and signed to link up with Amandine Miquel’s squad ahead of next season kick442.com has learnt from the buying club.
The Eclair FF of Sa’a midfielder was one of Cameroon’s brightest stars at the 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco, though the indomitable lionesses failed to reach the final four.
Ngock played a total of 324 minutes for the indomitable lionesses, in games against Zambia, Togo, Tunisia and the playoff game against Botswana.
Though she missed Cameroon’s quarter-final game against Nigeria due to accumulated bookings, she came back to provide the assist for Ajara’s goal against Botswana, which kept Cameroon’s hopes for a world cup ticket alive.
Stade Reims finished seventh in the French feminine league last term, and deemed the profile of Monique suitable to reinforce their midfield.
Monique has being with Cameroonian side Éclair FF for the past three seasons, and has represented Cameroon in all categories (U17, U20 and senior womens national teams).
Her turning point came during the indomitable lionesses four_nil defeat to France on the build up to the WAFCON, where she impressed in her 57 minutes on the pitch at the Stade Pierre Brisson.
Monique’s near perfect display in a midfield trio, alongside Ngo Mbeleck and Ngock Yango against Tunisia in Cameroon’s last group game, won the admiration of many, and probably gave Reims more reasons step up their chase for the midfielder.
