Monday, August 1, 2022 – Samuel Eto’o Fils, the president of the Cameroon Football Federation has recieved in audience Ngangoum Michael of the West Regional Championship.
President Eto’o latest move was aimed at saluting the efforts of the young referee whose rapid intervention in a head clash incident in a West Regional League game last month played a massive part in the quick recovery of two footballers.
Acccording to video footages which we first published last Thursday, referee Michael quickly stopped the game after the collision of the players and started first aid works before the arrival of the doctors on duty that day.
Ibrahim Mouiche and Leonnel Messi of Volcan and AS Menoua respectively who were involved in the incident were resurcitated and are in stable conditions thanks to Michael, thus explaining Eto’o’s decision to recieve the referee.
kick442.com understands during the meeting Eto’o, Michael and Stephane Foko – the national president of the referee appointment committee discussed strategies to improve the skills of match officials in intervening during such events in future.
Michael returned home with kits offered him by presideent Eto’o during the meeting.
Since taking office on December 9, 2021, Eto’o has given more attention to such details for obvious reasons.
Michael Ngangoum is a Sports teacher by profession associates that with refereeing in the third tier of Cameroon football.
