The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has mandated it’s Youth Football Committee to work towards staging the inaugural edition of the U15 Future Super Falcons Tournament, can report.

This decision was taken during the NFF Executive Committee meeting held on Monday via video Conference.

“The Executive Committee mandated it’s Youth Football Committee to conclude the modalities for the staging of the first-ever U15 Future Super Falcons’ Tournament in the mode of the NFF/Zenith Bank U15 Super Eagles Championship that had been running for the past four years.” Stated the communiqué issued after the meeting.

The aim of the tournament is to discover more talents for the national team as well as serving as a breeding ground for the Flamingos, Falconets, and the Super Falcons.

It should also be noted that the NFF Executive Committee on Monday also approved that the reputable consulting firm contracted by the NFF should, as soon as possible, submit a shortlist of candidates for the positions of Head Coach of the Super Falcons, NFF Head of Women Football, Head of Compliance Unit and Chief Commercial Officer.

Super Falcons is without a substantive coach since 2019 when Coach Thomas Dennerby left his job to take up the Indian U-17 Women’s job ahead of the FIFA World Cup taking place next year.
