Nigeria Football governing body, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) during its Executive Committee meeting held at Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Tuesday has approved the Turkish Cup tournament for the Super Falcons.
The Executive Committee also approved a two-match tour of Morocco for the most successful national team in Africa (Super Falcons).
“As a way of getting the Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons, busy in a period of long inactivity occasioned by the postponement of the 12th edition of the Women Africa Cup of Nations to year 2022, the Executive Committee approved a proposal by its Technical and Development Sub-Committee for the team to participate in a tournament in Turkey and two-match tour of Morocco in February 2021.” Read the communique issued by NFF Communications Department after the meeting.

Super Falcons finished 2020 as the most ranked African country (37th) without playing a game since they last played out a 1-1 draw with Cote d’Ivoire in October 2019 during Olympic qualifiers.
The Turkish Cup 2021 is slated to take from February 15-25 2021. It will take place alongside two other women’s international tournaments (Pinatar Cup and Cyprus Cup).
