Prisons S.C beat their opponents on the day 1-0 to manage their maiden points of the campaign, and also condemned University of Buea F.C to their first defeat of the season.
On Wednesday, March 13, 2019 Prisons S.C of Buea played their delayed game with the University of Buea football club Academy, in an attempt to score their first goal of this season, and also to try and take home 3 points.
The club in recent times have always been characterized by a bad start, and as the season goes ahead they start making people have a rethink; reminiscent to this fact is how they came back from last season, to top a pool that had Ajax, and Best stars Academy in it, whereas their first half of the season was in shambles.
Coach Wose Stephen has been relegated to the position of a technical staff, giving room for the actively, vibrant and dynamic Ndumbe Stephen to being the man at the helm.
A different Prisons SC showed up on the day, and if not of missed chances, with the penalty that was flopped by Wasson Junior, it could have been more.
However, at the 44 minute of play their persistence was paid as a Samen Mbolem strike went passed a helpless goal keeper Ndip William of U.B F.c.
Coach Ndumbe Stephen was impressed “well, it’s a good feeling. You know, for having 3 points that’s why we play, we have not been good for the past matches but with this I think the boys are coming into the tournament”.
Prisons SC played the mini Interpol last time out only to be booted out 3-2 by CUSA.
