New Stars of Douala will go out on Wednesday in Limbe in search of their second win of the season against arguably the best club in the land in Cotonsport of Garoua. Cotonsport is unbeaten this season and ahead of the kick442.com met New Stars defender and Captain Lane Lakem for his thoughts about the big game;
“My team mates and I have made a vow, enough is enough,a team like New Stars after our performance in the CAF Confederation cup can’t be in this position in the league table.”
“We had defensive problems because most of the players are new to this Championship but now the errors have been rectified,we are going to show the real New Stars Tomorrow,we want to return to the form of the second round of last season and we are ready for that.” Lane told kick442.com
Now New Stars captain,Lane was a part of the New Stars team that beat Cotonsport 2 nil in Limbe last season and the right back has started this season in fine form.
It promises to be a clash of defenders this Wednesday with Bawak Etta and Serge Andoulou facing New Stars where they were once heros.
