New Stars of Douala will leave Cameroon on Friday afternoon for Nairobi-Kenya where they will confront Kenyan giant,Gor Mahia in the last play offs round for a place in the group stage of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations cup.

Speaking in a TV debate on Tuesday in Douala,one of the deputy coaches of the club,Patrice Fotso revealed the team will leave Cameroon for Nairobi in the afternoon of Friday.

Quizzed about his club’s preparation,Coach Fotso;

“We have our strength,we acknowledge the fact that our team is young and Gor Mahia is a Historical club with huge success especially in Kenya, but we have our chance in this tie, which is what makes Football interesting.”
“We have the responsibility to do it for Cameroon, we are representing Cameroon,our team may be young,but we have the fighting spirit, we have come along way,thanks to that and it’s a Cameroonian character which we must show against a Gor Mahia side with big names like Denis Oliech”.

New Stars defeated Real Foot Academy by 1 goal to nil on Sunday thanks to leading scorer Ngongang Figo Junior but will travel to Kenya without Midfielder, Aristide Medjo who was sent off following a second booking against Al Ahly Tripoli in Limbe.

Gor Mahia host New Stars this Sunday at 4:00 PM local time which will be 2:00 PM in Yaounde before traveling to Cameroon for the return game a week after.
