Kick442.com can confirm that 17-year-old PSG prodigy Mireille Tchengang will be making the trip alongside 17 other Lionesses to Lusaka, Zambia, for the second leg of the last huddle of the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.
Tchengang, who only recently gave the nation of her first breathe and baby steps thumbs up over France, was given her first call up in Alain Djeumfa’s preselected list of 26 in the reversed fixture but she was sidelined in the final 18 of the match day squad.
The echoes from French side Paris Saint Germain feminine have totally been positive, but Mireille Tchengang is yet to proof her abilities for country.
This is a master’s touch from indomitable Lionesses coach Alain Djeumfa, bringing in the teenage sensation tagged as the future of Women’s football in Cameroon, for the experience, even if she doesn’t grace the green turf in Lusaka four days from now.
Mireille Tchengang joins in at a vital moment when Cameroon needs maximum concentration to stop the She-polopolo of Zambia from overturning a 3-2 deficit on their patch. The game comes up on Tuesday, March 10, as young Tchengang and other old guards look to qualify for only their second ever Olympic finals.
