Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and erstwhile coach of KF Tirana of Albania, Emmanuel Ndubuisi Egbo has been named the coach of the year and
Sports Personality of the year 2020 in Albania.
He was honoured on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Egbo became the first-ever Nigerian coach to lead a European team to a league title after his team was crowned 2019/2020 Albanian League champions, the team also qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
He also became the first African to lead a European team to a league title and the first African to manage a team in the UEFA
Champions League and
UEFA Europa League.
His former Club, KF Tirana won most of the awards on Sunday.
Ernest Muçi was announced as the winner of the ′′ Talent of the Year ′′ award.
Agustin Torassa was announced as the winner of the ′′ Midfielder of the Year 2020 ′′ award.
Idriz Batha, winner of the ′′ Midfielder of the Year ′′ award.
Albi Doka winner of the ′′ Right-wing defender of the Year ′′ award.
Ilion Lika winner of the ′′ Goalkeeper of the Year ′′ award.
All awards were crowned with the ′′ Golden Ball ′′ trophy delivered to the player, Idriz Batha declaring him the best player of 2020.
