Barely months after his arrival in China, Robert Ndip Tambe has impressed his Shaanxi Changa’an Athletic employers enough to earn a new three-year contract.
The 2017 AFCON winner with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon signed a the new contract this Friday at the headquarters of the second tier Chinese Super League championship Club
The 25-year-old Cameroonian forward joined the Club on a one-year-deal last February.
The former NQSA of Limbe forward will continue his stay in the country.
The club is currently participating in the China League One where Robert Tambe is chasing his first goal in as many appearances.
Tambe is one of three African player on the books of the Xi’an, Shaanxi-based club. He joins Congolese forward Oscar Maritu and Nigerian forward John Owoeri as options available for coach Kim Bong-gil when the new season eventually starts in China.
The club is the sixth foreign franchise the 2017 AFCON winner will represent since he left Cameroon for abroad in 2015.
He joins compatriots Christian Bassogog, Stephane Mbia Etoundi,John Mary Uzuegbunam amonsgt others in the different leagues in China.
