Indomitable Lionesses forward, Nchout Njoya Ajara scored her fastest half hat trick in her time in Norway as Valerenga Feminine came from behind to beat Augustine Sylvia Ejangue’s Arna-Bjornar 4-1 to reach the Women’s Norwegian Cup final.
It is her second hat trick with her present club in Norway after a similar performance against Manchester United. She also netted trice with her former club, IL Sandviken on two occasions last season.
Valerenga trailed as early as the 8 minutes when Mimi Omosefe gave the home side a surprise lead.
The visitors responded with Stine Pedersen’s 21st minute equalizer before the break.
Ajara took over scoring duties for Valerenga in the second half as she put her team ahead for the first time in the game with a 74th minute finish. She scored twice within 5 minutes (80th minute and 85th minute ) to cement her teams hard fought victory after an inspiring second half.
She completed her hat trick in 11 minutes which becomes the fastest in her career in Norway.
Ajara has not scored in her previous two league games for Valerenga as she ended a run of scoring in eight consecutive games.
Before her goal drought, the 26-year-old potent finisher scored 15 goals in 15 games with 34 goals in 12 months.
Ajara returns to League action with hopes to replicate her scintillating form and reach her peak. Her terrific cup game this Sunday could serve as a motivation for the incredible striker.
Valerenga welcome Avaldsnes in November during their next fixture in the Toppserien League.
They are second on the classification with 42 points, seven points from league leaders LSK Kvinner.
