Etoile Filante of Garoua fell to brother club Coton Sports of the same city by 4-1 in their preparations for the 2019 National interpools to take place from the 24-31 of August 2019 in Bertoua.
Coton Sports and their gaffer Emmanuel Bosso did not show any mercy as they started with first choice goal poacher and last season’s league 1 highest goal scorer Daouda Kamilou.
Kamilou as usual raised the curtain, before the Nigerian (Sadick) scored, and former Astres of Douala forward Didier Yimga got a brace to kill the game. Etoile Filante however, took some positives out of the game and scored a goal of their own through Kalgon.
When the game was announced, it raised eyebrows given that most other regional representatives would play more inferior opponents like their regional selections.
Etoile Filante needed the tough test before going to Bertoua where they would be lodged against Foncha Streets FC of NW, and an unpredictable Mercure SA from the Center region.
