Equally, Amadou Souleymanou had a one on one opportunity to net in but instead, tried to Lobe goalkeeper Nazirou, and a timely intervention from Ajax defender cancelled the effort.
The two match day one losers separated for the break on a nil all draw.
The second segment was a different ball game as the dominance chanced direction. This time it was Ajax of Maroua threatening to take the lead early into this half.
But not for too long as Jean Louis De Shanel’s header at the 62nd minute gave FC Ebolowa a 1-0 lead, a goal produced from a very dramatic scene.
After several trials to get an equalizer, Patrick Ndzana Fouda added the second at the 79th minute to frustrate the efforts of Ajax attackers in particular.
He came off from the bench in the second half to make the difference. This earned him the Player of the Match award.
A magnificent display from Fouda, dribble passed two Ajax defenders to strike a long one from outside the box right into the net of Nazirou, who played a great role in helping his side conceed more goal.
Nazirou, has so far conceded seven goals in two games his side, Ajax of Maroua have been unable to record a win so far.
