Star Madrid head coach Michael Osei has disclosed how his life was turned around by Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) the chief executive officer of the club after his sad return from his former club, Kotoko.

According to the former National U-23 assistant gaffer, he dedicated all his time to Kotoko because he was a former player but the new management maltreated him and made his life miserable but he saw enjoyment when he joined Star Madrid.

“Narrating his ordeal to Angel TV sports host Kaninja on a live TV show, Coach Michael Osei said life at Star Madrid was far better than at Kotoko.

“Despite it’s a first division club, the salary I was given was far better than what I was given at both Liberty and Kotoko. Look at my situation at Kotoko. I was the head coach at Kotoko when the new administration came and look at the problem they had with me. It was the same problem they had with CK. They just called me and ask me the head coach to go and be the technical director at the U-20 team. When I took over as the head coach, the team was 15th on the league table but I was able to finish the season in the top four that I was expecting another opportunity the following season to improve the team.
I served as an assistant to the head coach.  I am one of the coaches who won a lot of trophies for Kotoko including the president cup, G6, under Mas Ud Didi Dramani we won the League, super cup and the FA cup. Even with the FA cup, the head coach wasn’t in the country. He was on national assignment.
A person like Lawyer Boafo was not fair to me as if he had personal issues with me. He granted many interviews that he made it clear that with his presence at the club, I won’t coach the the team.
The team was owing me about ¢150,000.00 but I let it go because of the love they had for me and the blessing I had from Otumfuo before I took over as the head coach.
I can’t turn my back on NAM1 because he is now in crisis that is why I am still with the division one side Star Madrid.” Coach Michael Osei told Angel TV.
