Algeria and Newcastle United midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has told his club’s website in an interview that the players are all excited about the possible return of the English Premier League.

Speaking on Sunday the former Schalke O4 midfielder touched on a cross section of issues including the need for games to improve on players fitness.

“It was a little strange, I will not lie, but I feel good. We played an 11-11 game, and it was good. We’ve been working really hard lately, and it’s good to be back at St James’ Park.”

“No matter how much we run in training, you need matches to be physically fit in competition that’s what we did. It’s good for the legs, and I think everyone is happy,” Nabil Bentaleb stated.

The Lille-native who moved to Tyneside in January on loan from Schalke has made just three appearances for the club but miss the feeling of the competition.

“We all want to reconnect with the Premier League games, and we are approaching that. We have worked very hard, and we hope that we will be ready on D-Day,” the 25-year-old 2019 with five goals from 35 caps for country stated.

The erstwhile Tottenham midfielder who made 66 senior appearances for the club after coming through the ranks of the club’s youths categories certainly knows how it feels to play the Premier League, thus explaining why he misses it.
