Rivers Angels forward, Vivian Ikechukwu says her goal in the course of Rivers Angels’ 1-1 draw with Edo Queens on Wednesday was a birthday gift for her mother.
“It was a good and surprising goal for me because yesterday was my mummy’s birthday and she asked that I score her a goal as a birthday present. I feel fulfilled right now because I was able to make her happy.” Vivian told www.kick442.com.

The former City of David Ladies and Abia Angels player scored the opening goal of Rivers Angels’ Week three tie against Edo Queens in the 79th minute before Elizabeth Zirike equalised for the host in the 88th minute.
Vivian opined that she wants to score more goals and help Rivers Angels retain the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title.
She said: “I expect to win, score goals and I want to retain the title this season to enable us to represent the country at the CAF Champions League.”
Rivers Angels have won just one league game this season which was a 6-2 bashing of Delta Queens. The Jewel of the Rivers has drawn two games (1-1 each) against Confluence Queens and Edo Queens.
They will host Abia Angels on January 6, 2021, in their Week four fixture.
