16-year old teenage sensation Mughe François Regis has been voted the most valuable player of the 2021 Under-18 youth tournament baptized Patricia Berthelot Easter Cup in Douala.
The Under-17 Lions winger scored four goals including a brace in the plus assisted thrice as EFBC outclass holders Cotonsport of Garoua to claim the title of the 6th edition of the tournament.
Mughe’s performance in the semi-final and final game of the tournament highlighted his potentials as a big game player.
After starting slowing in the group stages were he only managed two assists, the Cameroon international scored twice against Leopard Royal of Bertoua in the semis and twice against Cotonsport in the final.
To an extent Mughe shaped EFBC’s destiny in the competition as they ended a two-year wait for another trophy.
This surely explains why he was picked ahead of international colleague Wassou Goue Patient who scored five goals for Cotonsport of Garoua.
Mughe Regis is certainly going to attract interest from the multiple scouts who attended the tournament.
