Ngoh Tibab Blaise’s 21st minute goal helped Union Sportive of Douala to earn her second victory against Panthere at the Omnisport stadium.
Union’s first goal was scored in the 15th minutes by Clement Koumde. Meanwhile, Panthere’s lone goal was a 25 minutes strike from Desmond Kameni.
The side kept mounting pressure on the Panthere defense and made it 2-0 through Ngoh Tibab Blaise at the 21st minutes by beating Panthere’s keeper Junior Akibong in a face-to-face tussle.
Playing with more purpose Mvondo Olama was a threat for the Panthere side through his beautiful cross over balls on several occasions but no one was there to kill the last balls. The boys of coach Sylvanos Nguepkep of Panthere reawakened from their slumber through a 25 minutes goal from Desmond Kameni following a poor outing of Union’s keeper Fils Legrand.
Panthere’s Arthur Mbeng in a beautiful ball combination with Sebastien Ngoumou failed to level scores for Nzui Mato in a 10 metres strike as the first half ended.
The Nassara Kamakai began the second half by overshadowing the entire Panthere midfield. The beautiful ball passes at the upfront from Thierry Ngoumou to Marcel Ebib of Panthere were all futile.
Panthere Sportive finished the encounter on an average note, with four shots on target. The Union attackers were more precise and impressive in their passes.
Union’s 2-1 win over Panthere gives her 7 points with two goals. Meanwhile, Panthere moves a step backward with 4 points two goals.
