Eding Sport FC de la Lekie once again extended their winning streak and maintaining their first position in Pool A after a 2-0 mauling of Yaounde II FC at the Ngeme Omnisport stadium, Limbe on March 30th.
The encounter counted for match day 4 of the 2021/22 MTN Elite one championship, Pool B games staged in Limbe and Bafoussam.
Former PWD of Bamenda Captain Mbah Louis, opened scores at the 5th minute of play with a header to give the home boys a lead which lasted Until the 85’ before Jean Emmanuel Chamdjou benefitted from a defensive and goalkeeping blunder to net in the second and last goal of the game.
This is the second consecutive goal scored by Chamdjou, former UMS of Loum player, who scored the first goal in their previous game against UMS of Loum last Sunday at the Limbe Centinary Stadium to contribute to a 2-1 win.
Captain for Eding Sport, Alain Moukoko was mask man for his side in yesterday’s clash. He put up a defense masterpiece to frustrate the efforts of Yafoot that even the one minute of added time before the first half break was insufficient for the visitors to get an equalizer.
The first half of the game ended one goal to nil in favor of Eding, Thanks to the brilliance of Mbah Louis who throughout the game did not stop impressing spectators with his commitment and contribution in the game.
FC Yaounde II squandered all opportunities right before them to net in a goal and their efforts became even more frustrating when at the last minutes of play, a second goal was netted.
Yafoot has only managed to win one game out of four played this season. They beat Dragon Fc of Yaounde 2-1 last week at the Molyko Omnisport stadium to grap their first theee points. They have lost to , UMS of Loum, Renaissance FC and now Eding FC.
Eding on the other hand have played all four games without losing any. They beat defending champions, Cotonsport of Garoua 2-0, Renaissance Fc 3-0, UMS of Loum 2-1 and then Yafoot 2-0.
They are top of Pool B with 12 points. While Yafoot are on the 10th position ahead of Coton and New Stars.
