Eding Sport de la Lekie held Fovu Club of Baham in a tightly contested encounter that ended in a 1-1 draw at this Wednesday, June 8, at the Ngeme Omnisport stadium in Limbe.

Both sides scored early in an entertaining and first half of the game with goals from Chapdelain Joyce and Ramies Cabrel Donfack.

Mbah Louis failed to take advantage of a free kick to net in an equalizer as the shot went out wide. But shortly after, Donfack took advantage of a defense error from the opponent to correct their mistake with an equalizing goal at the 18th Minute of play.

With Thirty-five minutes gone into the game, Kalamou Mossa’s foul on Figo Fernandez, forward for Eding, was first to have provoked the referee for booking.

Liberian international for Fovu Club of Baham,Tony Emmanuel Achu, was more engaged for his side in the first segment of the game.

Goalkeeper Souleyman Souleyman of Eding was arguably the man of the match for the first half making two decisive saves that deprived Fovu of the advantages they had to lead the game.

The first 45 minutes elapsed with a one all tie. Mbah Louis was injured and could not finish the first half, leaving a 10 man Eding to complete the game.

Coach Bonaventure Djonkep brought out former Option sport if limbe defender, Acha Lovis who had delivered satisfactorily in the game for Armel Onana.

The boys from Yaounde dominated the second half of the game that coach Djonkep brought in another former Option Sports of Limbe forward, Tanko George Junior to act offensive and play the remaining five minutes in place of his son Djonkep Junior.

Eding who are leaders of Pool A with now 41 points have failed to win two of their last games as this encounter ended in a 1-1 draw a s so second placed CotonSport if Garoua have managed to close the gasp behind them after grabbing 3points from Bamboutos FC of Mbouda.
