Astre of Douala full-back Api Eric Enjenwei was in red hot form this Wednesday in match-day four of the Cameroon Elite One championship.
The experienced defender scored and assisted one of the goals as his club picked up a comfortable 4-1 win against APEJES.
Astre came into the fixture on the back of a one nil defeat to YOSA in Match-Day two and where keen on making amends.
Api Eric fired the Brazilians of Bepanda ahead barely 12 minutes into the contest before Leon Boyomo made it 2-0 just under the quarter hour mark.
Winger Massi pulled one back for APEJES of Mfou in the 31st minute following a poor defensive endeavor from the Astre backline.
However, it took just seven minutes for Valentine Beo Batto to combine with Api Eric Enjenwei and restore Astre’s two goals cushion.
At the break, Anicet Mbarga Foe’s team was ahead by 3-1 after a commendable first half display.
Astre added a fourth goal through Christian Bedibeleg in the 61st minute and held on till the end of the game.
The game ended 4-1 in favour of the 2010 and 2011 runners-up who record their second win of the current season.
The man of the match performance from Api Eric and result takes Astre up to the fourth spot.
The club has won two games of their three this season ahead of their next game game on Saturday against struggling Djiko FC.
