Astres of Douala has imposed a 4-2 soccer lesson on Panthere this Wednesday at the Yaounde Omnisport Annex one stadium in day eight games of the 2022 MTN Elite One clash. The four goals scored for Astres in the first 45 minutes of the encounter were scored by Axel Ndzana,Steve Meng, Christian Deugoue and Beo Bato.

Meanwhile Panthere’s two goals had featured from Franck Tchoupe and Ferrent Ango.

The low turn fans and rainy Panthere versus Astres clash had kicked-off at 3:30pm, with the boys of coach Anicet Mbarga Foe opening scores at the 10 minutes of play following a stunning and well executed free kick from Ndzana Romual to beat Panthere’s keeper for a lead.

Astres succeeded in dominating play at the midfield in a series of beautiful ball passes between Franck Nstague and Christian Bedibileg but could not put the ball at the back of Panthere’s net. Until the 26 minutes when Steve Meng made use of goalkeeper Boris Tchamba’s poor outing to double lead for the Brazilians of Bepanda in a close three metres shot to complicate things for coach Sylvanos Nguepkeh and boys.

Panthere in respond created a beautiful goal scoring opportunity at the 25 minutes in a well coordinated ball passes between Tchoupe and Jean Marie Ebode for their opener but the Astres defenders played so well with much serenity and promptness. Duhamel Kalamandji’s 15 metres strike was well captured by Astres’ keeper Jourdain Mbayinaissem.

10 minutes afterwards was Astres third goal from Christian Deugoue following a poor communication between goalkeeper Tchamba Aba and defenders in his 18 metres box.

Panthere was reduced to ten with a red card awarded to Loic Kouley following a violent tackle on Astres’ Beo Bato . As the first half came to an end .

Play resumed for the second half in favour of Panthere with an attempt to score from Ebode Atanga in a long short that fell in the hands of Astres keeper. Astres in a rapid and shot ball passes scored her 4th goal at the 51minutes in a stylish manner through the prowess of Valentin Beo Bato. But Panthere successively scored two goals through Franck Tchoupe and Ferrent Ango to reduce scores to 4-2 .

Panthere in her hostile attacking play style at the up front took advantage of the ball possession, thereby pushing the Astres defenders to be more faculty in their play style.

Though defeated, the Bagante side had recorded five shots on target. Astres is now on 16 points, with 13 goals scored,6 goals conceded, 5 games won, 1 defeat and 1 draw .Meanwhile, Panthere remains on 6 points with 2 games won , 3 defeat , 6 goals scored and 11 goals conceding.
