Malaysia Super League side Kedah Darul Arman FC are off to perfect start to the 2021-2022 season thanks to their recent import from Cameroon- Ngah Ronald Wanja.
The big forward scored the lone goal in Match-Day one of the championship to help his latest employers bag all three points following a 1-0 victory against host Sarawak United FC.
Ngah who had scored six and provided five assist in pre-season matches took just 17 minutes of his competitive debut to fire the visitors ahead at the Negeri Sarawak Stadium.
Ngah in a typical display of his goal scoring instincts pounced on a ball off the woodwork to Kedah a deserving 1-0 lead.
Though the host improved in the second segment, Ngah and his mates remained resolute throughout the rest of the game.
The win in the season opener puts Kedah momentarily at the top of the log while waiting for the rest of the Match-Day one games in the 12-clubs championship.
30-year old Ngah joined the club in the build up to the current season from Jordanian side Al-Salt FC.
KDA is Ngah’s sixth club between 2018 when he departed Cotonsport of Garoua and now.
The goal poacher has represented Al-Jahra, Al Qadsia SC, Smouha and Al Mohzel before getting the past two jobs.
In the international scene, Ngah represented and scored for Cameroon’s Intermediate Lions team in the build up to the 2016 African Nations Championship, but failed to make the cut for the soccer jamboree.
