The indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have waved goodbye to their fans i n Yaounde ahead of their journey to Spain for the last phase of their preparation for the 2019 Women’s World Cup Cup in France.
In a total party atmosphere, the lionesses displayed how prepared they are for the World Cup displaying their efficient collective play in the presence of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Professor Narcisse Kombi, The FECAFOOT president Seidou Mbombo amongst other dignitaries.
Center backs Estelle Johnson and Mayi Kith all made their first appearance for Cameroon in the first and second half respectively. Both defenders look very comfortable on the ball leaving many of the fans present very optimistic.
Substitute Mpeh Besong scored the lone goal in the game in the second segment as the Lionesses edged the Center Regional selection by 1 goal to nil.
After the game the 23 Lionesses were introduced to the public before meeting football officials in the country to get their blessings before leaving for another meeting with the minister. Christine Mani got the National flag from the minister of of sports ahead of their departure for Spain this Wednesday. While in Spain Cameroon will have a friendly game against their host before leaving for France before the World Cup begins on June 7.
