Mozambique have crowned their 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign by dismissing coach Luis Felipe de Jesus Goncalves.
The 49-year old was dismissed by the national football federation on Wednesday for failing to take country to the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon.
Mozambique climaxed their dismal qualifiers campaign with a 0-1 home defeat to Cape Verde Island on Tuesday in Maputo, leaving them bottom of group F.
Coach Luis Felipe took the Mozambique coaching job in the beginning of 2019 with the objective of taking the country to their first AFCON tournament since 2010.
Luis Felipe failed to achieve the set goals thus earning a sack.
Mozambique is expected to name a replacement before the start of the 2022 FIFA world cup qualifiers in June.
