One of the standout performers for the Indomitable Lions in their double AFCON 2022 qualifiers against Mozambique is arguably, Young Boys of Berne attacker, Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu.
His performance against both Mozambique in both matches proved vital for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon as they were able to score 6 goals and conceding just one.
At the Douala Reunification Stadium, Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu provided the assist for Cameroon’s third goal when he delivered a perfect corner kick that was scored by Franck Zambo Anguissa.
In Maputo, Mozambique on November 16, the 26-years-old on played a pivotal role in Cameroon’s two nil win over the Mambas of Mozambique.
He provided both assists as Cameroon ran out two zero winners. At the 26th minute of play, he played a perfect cross to Vincent Aboubakar who scored to put Cameroon ahead and at the 73rd minute, Moumi Ngamaleu proved his class again with a perfect low cross for Serge Tabekou to double scores for Cameroon.
Moumi Ngamaleu made his international debut for Cameroon against Guinea on March 28, 2017 and he was included in the Cameroon squad for the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia. He has scored two goals in 15 appearances in the national team.
