24-year-old Cameroon international forward Bertrand Anatole Abang scored his first goal of the season for Sheriff Tiraspol in the Moldovan top flight.

The native of Yaoundé scored Sheriff’s second goal at the 87th minute, in their 2-0 win over Zimbru in match day four of the Moldova National Division.

It was his first goal in three league appearances for Sheriff, since joining them early this year from Chinese second tier side Nantong Zhiyun.

Abang is a former player of Rainbow FC of Bamenda and has won six caps for the Indomitable Lions with one goal to his name.

Frank Castaneda opened the scoring for Sheriff at the 51st minute of the game, before Abang doubled their advantage to make the points safe.

They now top the league table with 12 points after 4 games, with four wins in as many games, ahead of CS Petrocub on 10 points.
