A goal from Victoria Idehen was enough to help Moje Queens pick their first three points as the round-robin stage of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Nationwide League kicked off at the Ijebu Ode centre, on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
FC Phoenix Queens and Omidiran Babes played out a goalless draw at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, in the second game of the day.
The final game at the Ijebu Ode centre produced three goals as Dolapo Ariori scored two goals to power Oasis Ladies to a 2-1 win over Royaltoms Queens. The brace took Ariori’s tally to three in two games after scoring the winning goal for Oasis Ladies in their 1-0 win over Aseyori Queens.
Ola Olaronke pulled a goal back for Royaltoms Queens.
The six remaining clubs at the Ijebu Ode centre will play four more games from Tuesday to Saturday with the four highest clubs by points gaining promotion to the NWFL Championship.
At the Abuja centre, 9ineteen Damsels came from behind to defeat FC Niger Amazon 1-2.
Amibrafa Afruku had given FC Niger Amazon the lead in the 17th minutes before second-half goals from Terry Thompson and Aaron Precious propelling 9ineteen Damsels to victory.
