Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu is on the radar of Spanish LaLiga heavy weights Atletico Madrid.
Atletico are ready to activate the player’s buy out clause of €12 million with his current employers, Real Valladolid.
Reports suggest that Diego Simeone’s team are looking forward to offloading 29-year-old Montenegrin defender Stefan Savic and use his transfer fees to fund a move for their desired Valladolid defender.
They will loan him out back to Valladolid for a year, as part of the negotiations to secure the player’s signature.
Salisu is on wishlist of other top European clubs, including Premier League giants Manchester United.
Salisu has been hugely impressive for Valladolid this season. The 20-year-old has made 27 LaLiga appearances for them in this campaign, he has scored one goal.
