Liverpool’s Egyptian international forward Mohamed Salah has simply laughed at reports linking him with a move away from Anfield.
Salah and Liverpool were at the verge of ending the club’s close to three decades wait for an English league title before football was halted as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Liverpool had opened a 25 points gap at the top of the table over nearest rivals Manchester City, with just two wins away from winning a 19th league title.
Salah joint the Reds in 2017 from AS Roma for £36.7million, but what looked to be an expensive buy back then has now turned out to be a bargain.
With 91 goals and 37 assists in 144 appearances for Liverpool, Salah has been the Premier League’s top scorer in the last two completed campaigns and helped them a UEFA Champions League triumph last season.
The former FC Bale and Chelsea forward had a hugely successful debut season with 44 goals in 52 appearances which earned him a new five-year deal immediately after.
Despite being tied to the Reds, some of Europe’s other elite clubs still have their eyes on the ‘Pharaoh King’. Real Madrid and Juventus have been mentioned to have an interest in the Egyptian.
Salah’s reaction on social media about a possible departure from Anfield rather indicates the Egyptian has no intentions of leaving anytime soon.
Salah simply posted three laughing emojis as a respond to a Sky Sports post on Instagram asking If Liverpool should sell him or keep him.
Though he quickly deleted the emojis, many Liverpool fans had seen it already and should definitely have been delighted with his reaction.
