Cameroon’s Minister of Sports and Physical Education Prof Narcisse Moulle Kombi will replace the donor to preside over the Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour scheduled for this November.
During last year’s edition of the cycling race, it was presided over by first lady Chantal Biya.
The Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour will be launched on Wednesday November 18, 2020 and participating cyclists will cover a total of 685.3km by the end of the race.
A total of 10 teams are expected from Country’s such as Cameroon, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Rwanda and Benin will answer present meanwhile French military team and Dukkla Banska Bystrica from Slovakia will represent the Europe.
November 18 will see the first lap of the race covering a 95.9km stretch of road in the Douala III subdivision. On Thursday November 19, the second lap will involve a 135.5km stretch between Akonolinga and Abong-Mbang.
A 167km stretch of road between Yaounde and Ebolowa will be covered on Friday 20th for three of the race. Cyclists will continue the race on a 116.4km stretch from Zoétélé to Nkpwang-Meyomessala
The final lap is the fifth and final stage which will cover a 166.4km distance from Sangmélima to the cross line in Yaoundé.
After then, the yellow jersey and the main trophy will be handed. Algeria’s Azzedine Lagab was the winner of last years edition.
