Scouts of Italian Serie A giants AC Milan were in the stands on Sunday to watch Cameroonian midfielder, Jean Junior Onana of Girondin of Bordeaux play against Olympique Lyonnais amid growing interest from the Milan side.
The Lille midfielder on loan at Girondin of Bordeaux has been on-form since switching to Matmut-Atlantiue in the start to the 2021-2022 season.
The 21-year old enjoying a brilliant season has made ten French Ligue appearances this term, scoring twice and assisting a goal as Bordeaux work their way up the top of the League chart.
The ex-Under-17 Lions box-to-box midfielder is on the wishlist of coach Maldini and Italian sources say they could try to sign the Academy Nkufo product in the January window.
Onana was voted player of the month of September at Bordeaux for his massive input and since then the standards haven’t dropped.
Onana recently helped the Cameroon team reach the play-offs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Cameroon midfielder is valued at €3.5 million, affordable and good deal if AC Milan a potential great midfielder already delivering.
