It was a very entertaining game at the Estadio de la Ceramica between Villarreal and FC Barcelona, after going two goal down, Villarreal rallied to draw tally thanks to their African contingent. Their Nigerian energetic forward Samuel Chukwueze got their first at the 23rd minute before their Cameroon forward Karl Toko Ekambi got their second at the 50th minute, thanks to an assist from his Nigeria teammate Chikwueze. Unfortunately Toko was substituted at the 72nd minute due to injury. Villarreal opened a two goals cushion but threw it away and the game finished 4-4.
In the French cup semifinals, Rennes booked a place in the final against PSG. Their Senegalese striker Mbaye Niang got the opener at the 40th minute while their Algerian midfielder Ramy Bensebaini got their winner from an 81st minute out of the box strike to secure a 2-3 win. Burkinabé striker Bertrand Traoré got Lyon’s first at the 47th minute and Malian striker Moussa Dembele converted an 81st minute penalty for their second.
VVVV-Venlo suffered a humiliating 2-6 home defeat from FC Utrecht. They however opened the scoring through their Ghanaian striker Jonathan Opoku at the 18th minute.

In Group B in the Belgian 1st Division Europa League playoff, Cercle Brugge drew at home 3-3 with Zulte-Waregen. The Portuguese cup final will be played between two of Portugal’s biggest clubs and great rivals. FC Porto booked their place against Sporting Braga, they will face Sporting Lisbon who outplayed Benfica 1-0 thanks to a goal from Bruno Fernades from a sublime assist from Malian captain Abdoulay Diaby.
In the Denmark, Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu bagged a brace in FC Midtjylland’s 4-0 win in the OBU Pokalen cup semifinals. He got his first at the 47th minute and the second at the 72nd minute. Midtjylland will face the winner of the game between Brondby IF and AaB in the final on May 17, 2019.
In the Swedish Superettan, that is the Swedish second tier, Halmstads BK secured a 0-1 away win against Joenkoepings Soedra thanks to an 85th minute strike from their 27years old Ghanaian forward Karim Sadat.
HJK defeated FC Inter 2-1 at home in the Veikkausliiga. 21years old Ghanaian winger Evans Mensah scored both goals for HJK. He scored the opener at the 66th minute before grabbing the winner two minutes after FC Inter’s equalizer at the 76th minute.

In Day 27 matches of the Turkish Ist League, that is Turkish second tier, Osmanlispor traveled to earn all three points against Altinordu FK. Osmanlispor won the game 0-3 thanks a 9th minute opener from their 28years old Senegalese forward Magaye Gueye. Magaye has now scored six league goals this season and provided seven assists. JK Narva Trans lost at home 1-2 to FCI Levadia, their lone goal was scored by their 26 years old Senegalese defender Abdoulaye Diallo at the 85th of the game.
OFK Titograd outplayed home side Petrovac 0-1 in the Montenegro Telekom 1st CFL. 20years old Senegalese Mendy Mamadou was the lone scorer in the game with his 26th minute strike.

Cameroon striker Leandre Gaël Tawamba Kana cannot stop scoring in the Saudi Pro League. The former Partizan of Belgrade player grabbed his 19th goal of the season in his club Al-Taawon’s 3-0 win over Al-Wehda. His 19 goals have helped Al-Taawon to a 4th place on the log. He is currently the second top scorer in the league.
On loan to AC Astana from Al-Nasr, 30 years DRC international striker Junior Kabanaga Kalonji opened the scoring for Astana at the 17th minute in their 3-1 against Atyrau.
Al-Ain were on the end of a 5-1 hammering from Al-Jazira. Al-Jazira’s 29 years old Ghanaian forward Ernest Asante opened the scoring at the 3rd minute and got their fourth goal at the 48th minute in a convincing win.
