Yaounde II formation’s left back, Michel Junior Mbeleck has declared this Saturday’s match day 22 Cameroon Elite two championship game pitting YAFOOT FC against Astres of Douala is a final.
Speaking to kick442.com 24 hours before the game, the 15-year-old left back sounded focused and ready to trouble the leaders.
“We are preparing for the game very well. We have the ideal conditions for the right results. Astres have a five points advantage over us, it is going to be a contest, but we will do all to beat Astres. A win for us will be good for the league. It is a final” Mbeleck concluded.
The young full back is in his debut campaign in the second tier Championship and has been a mainstay in the YAFOOT FC backline. YAFOOT are currently battling to recover the topflight status which they lost in 2018.
Astres is overwhelming favourites for promotion. They are four points better than YAFOOT FC who have 31 points. A win for Astres leaves them way ahead of the rest while victory for YAFOOT FC will make the last sprint to Elite one more interesting.
All match day 23 matches will be played across the country this Saturday.
