Forward Nchout Njoya Ajara( Jersey no:3) on defensive duty while Michaela Abam (Jersey No:22) observes keenly

Paris FC forward Michaela Abam,21 was on target in Cameroon’s 4 nil bashing of Spanish first division side Levante on Thursday evening in Murcia-Spain.

The Young forward who could have continued her development and fight for a place in the US Women’s team but opted to represent fatherland has continued with her brilliant form for Country thus explaining why she is a Lionesses fan favourite though she is still to kick a ball in a competitive game for Cameroon.

Abam is truly an example of a player who is transformed every timeshe gets close to the Cameroon national team maybe explaining why she spends nights shedding tears in Ghana when administrative bottlenecks prevented her from representing Cameroon in the Women’s AWCON.

No striker in the Cameroon team in Spain currently preparing for the World Cup can boast of a better return for country than Abam.

The forward scored Cameroon’s opener against Levante to take her International goals to 5 in her last 5 appearances. Abam got off the mark in Cameroon’s first 2018 AWCON preparatory game in Cote D’Ivoire where she scored twice in Cameroon’s 5 nil win ove Zambia before adding another goal 4 days after in a 1-1 draw against Cote D’Ivoire. Abam only got another chance to add to her tally this month when she played and scored in a 4-3 win against APEJES’ Junior side in another friendly. Therese Abena Ninon and Alexandre Takounda x2 got the other goals for Cameroon on that day.

Abam has featured for country without scoring only on one occasion in the recent farewell game against Center Regional selection.

Her Statistics speak volumes and makes her a key component for Cameroon in the upcoming World Cup coincidentally her first major International Tournament taking place in the country where she currently plays club football.

Cameroon with wrap up their preparation with two games again in Spain before leaving for France before the World Cup begins on June 7.
