Fresh into his new club challenge, Cameroonian Defender Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui, 28 has yet again gotten another reason to be contempted with his start to life in Belgium.
The Gent “new catch” scored the 57th minutes goal that helped his club earn a point away from home against Charleroi over the weekend. Going by the analysis of officials in charge of the technical aspects of the Belgian Pro League 1 he gave more than just a goal.
Reports from the team of experts who studied the aggregate performance of players in Day 1 across the 16 clubs involved in the championship have been published.
According this reports Ngadeu in his debut 90 minutes for his new club accumulated 8 points on a scale of 10 earning him a place in the heart of the Belgium Pro League 1 team of week one.
Team of the week:
Ngadeu with a scored of 8/10 is one of the two players from Gent who have been included in the XI, Canadian Midfielder Christian David is the other and has the same score Michael.
It is obviously the first time the big “goal getting” center back is been recognized in his new sorroundings but certainly not the last going by the fact that he earned similar accolades on multiple occasions in the Domestic and European competitions he featured in while on the books of his former club Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.
