Cameroon U-23 international forward Michael Cheukoua is in fine form for SV Horn, and grabbed his eighth goal of the season in a 3-2 home win over SV Lafnitz.
SV Horn went behind on the stroke of half time when Kresimir Kovacevic put the visitors ahead at the 44th minute.
Hans Kleer’s charges replied at the 56th minute through their leading goal scorer Marco Hausjell who scored his ninth of the season.
Kovacevic restored the visitors lead ten minutes later, before Cheukoua equalized for the home side at the 71st minute of the game.
Spanish forward Jorge Sanchez gave Cheukoua and his teammates the lead for the first time in the game at the 83rd minute from the spot and they held on to it till the end.
Cheukoua’s eight goals in 23 league games is his highest ever in a single season since moving to Europe in 2017, when he signed for Rheindorf Altach.
Their win over SV Lafnitz keeps them above the drop zone on goal advantage, as they have 26 points just like Grazer AK and Dornbirn at the 14th and 15th spots respectively, on the 16 teams league table.
