Tanzanian forward Mbwana Ally Samatta has decided to continue his career in the English Premier League, with Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old Tanzanian goal scoring machine has joint the relegation threatened Premier League side on a-four-and-a half years contract.

Samatta becomes the first Tanzanian to play in the English Premier League.

The former Simba Sports Club and TPM forward finished as top scorer in Belgian top flight last season, helping Genk to the league title.

This season, the devoted Muslim who made the Umrah to Mecca in 2018 with his teammate Omar Colley, has scored 10 goals across all competitions, three of them in the Group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Villa are hoping Samatta will hit the ground running and help Dean Smith’s team get goals and results so that they can beat the drop.
