Turkish Super Lig franchise Fenerbahçe have completed the signing of 27-year-old Tanzanian forward Mbwana Ally Samatta from Premier League outfit Aston Villa.
The Istanbul outfit agreed a four-year deal with the former Simba SC of Tanzania striker and announced the deal upon completion of medical and administrative registration requirements.
The former TP Mazembe forward will play on loan this season and the transfer formalities will be completed next season after Fenerbahçe pays his agreed transfer fee of $7 million during the contract and a maximum of € 750,000 depending on the sportive results.
Samatta scored once in the Premier League after joining Villa in an £8.5million move from Genk in January 2020 and had fallen behind Keinan Davis and Club record signing Ollie Watkins in the pecking order.
Turkish media reports say the striker will wear jersey number 12 at his new Club.
