Senegalese international forward Mbaye Niang has reacted to Marseille’s interest for his services.
The 25-year-old former AC Milan forward expressed his desire to join Olympique Marseille on an Instagram interview with French daily L’Equipe.
Niang expressed his wish to move to the 1993 European champions even next month.
“For me it’s flattering. This means I am doing some good things. Looking at the history of Marseille and it’s supporters… *if I am told Marseille needs my services,I don’t need to think twice.* It’s a big club, a club that deserves to be respected today in France,” Niang said.
“I am focused at Rennes, there are still some good moments to live here this season.
“At the end, if a club like Marseille comes for my services I will not be indifferent. We’ll need to take our time to think on the decision to make when the time comes.”
Niang’s current contract with Rennes runs till June 2023. The Senegalese has been on target 15 times in 35 games across all competitions for Julien Stephan’s teams. 10 of his 15 goals have come in his 25 Ligue 1 appearances.
